Indonesian Seaweed Products Show Off at the International Symposium in Jeju

Astruli will present the latest developments in the hydrocolloid industry in Indonesia, introduce the Indonesian Seaweed brand, and offer the best quality seaweed products that are produced sustainably. The brand represents companies that have a traceability system and meet halal, Kosher, ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Organic and BRC quality standards.

Mc Donny W Nagasan, Chair of Astruli, said, "The participation of Astruli in ISS 2019 to create awareness among shareholders of the seaweed industry that the support of the Indonesian Seaweed brand on the products produced would add value and create new value for buyers."

In an effort to grow the export market, this association is supported by the Unido program, called Smart-Fish. Sudari Prawiro, coordinator of the Smart-Fish Indonesia program, explained, "Smart-Fish is fully committed to supporting Astruli to bring the Indonesia Seaweed brand on international events and ISS 2019 which is the best platform as a first step."

Symposium themed "From Tradition to Innovation!" this will be attended by 1,000 participants from 62 countries and 30 exhibition stands. The topic of the symposium discussion included biodiversity, genetics, climate change and marine ecology, seaweed cultivation, and the application of the seaweed industry.
